“Logbook” is the first digital logbook for Mac users. It is also very interesting for Windows users, because the user interface differs from other digital logbooks and it is orientated by the traditional, printed logbook. The software automatically makes calculations and analyses all notes. An overview shows all relevant data and totals as well as average values—of every day, of a whole trip and also of all entries. Of course “Logbook” can be printed too, a special feature to keep the trip in positive memory.
“Logbook” provides for each day a page for the nautical information and a second page for weather dates, technical notes as well as for your personal diary with photos. Besides, “Logbook” offers a special view where you can put in detailed information on your yacht. This makes it easier to find all important information if needed.
In the new version 2.5 the language of “Logbook” can be set up directly in the software—we don’t offer two different versions any more. Thanks to this it is now easier for us to develop “Logbook” further.
On the iPad “Logbook 2.5” uses special views which are optimized for the size of the iPad display and the touch interface.
Special features only available on the iPad are the automatic entry of the position data delivered from iPad GPS (only with iPad with 3G or 4G) and automatically generated tracks.
