FarSounder is pleased to announce the release of SonaSoft™ version 3.2, a major upgrade to the software which powers the FarSounder-500, FarSounder-1000, and FS-3DT sonars. This upgrade includes significant processing, user interface, and display improvements.

Major upgrade features include:

“Our development team continues to set the standard for 3D Forward-Looking Sonars,” says Matthew Zimmerman, FarSounder’s Vice President of Engineering.

“Our focus on improving navigational safety is evident to our customers. Our commitment to vessel safety continues with our latest SonaSoft 3.2 release, making it even easier for vessel operators to understand what is underwater, ahead of their vessels in polar regions, tropical locals and everywhere in between”.

Videos and screenshots of the new software are available on the company’s website.

The software update is compatible with FarSounder’s existing products and integrates directly with select ECDIS and integrated bridge systems including the Wärtsilä SAM Electronics NACOS Platinum and Transas Navisailor 4000. The upgrade is available to all current and new navigation sonar customers.

About FarSounder

FarSounder Inc. is a U.S based marine electronics innovator dedicated to keeping vessels safe. Formed in 2001, with the belief that one should know what lurks beneath the water’s surface before one gets there, FarSounder now offers real-time navigation and diver detection sonars. FarSounder’s navigation products offer forward-looking sonar capabilities out to ½ nautical mile (1000 meters) range. FarSounder’s Ship Protection systems offer navigation capabilities while underway and 360 degree diver detection while on anchor. Wherever a vessel travels, FarSounder will help get it there safely.
