WYCC Crew Insurance Providing Solutions for Management

Boss of WYCC 140

Camper & Nicholsons, the oldest leisure marine company in the world, has chosen WYCC Insurance as their global provider of health and retirement cover for yacht crew. With one of the largest fleets in the world, the brokerage and management company needed a provider capable of delivering the flexibility and high standards expected by a major superyacht client.

Commenting at the Monaco Yacht Show this year, Matteo Espinoza, Director of Risk Management at Camper & Nicholsons said, “WYCC was the only insurance company, as of 8th January 2018, able to provide a French compliant package which many of our clients were asking for.”

WYCC also offers one of the best transatlantic healthcare policies on the market, providing comprehensive cover for employees of non-US corporate entities, with direct-billing between the care provider and the insurer. Since its launch earlier this year, WYCC’s group package has proved extremely popular with yacht management companies in Europe who benefit from significant cost savings.

Larger clients appreciate the personal service and reliability of WYCC which, despite growing rapidly since 1997, has maintained its hands-on approach. “What we prefer about WYCC is that it's a family company so whenever I need a senior management response I can call the owner or the director directly.” said Matteo.

In a market typically slow to evolve, WYCC is an innovative business driven by a desire to provide the best products for crew with the experience and capabilities to deliver solutions for larger clients. And this extends to WYCC’s online platform where clients can tailor their cover to suit their needs and benefit from reduced rates for group cover. Matteo confirms “We found the WYCC platform reliable, efficient and very competitive in terms of price.”
