SuperYacht Radio Launches Yachting’s Got Talent

While a global lockdown has seen many of us more connected, albeit digitally, with our friends and family around the world than ever before, SuperYacht Radio is bringing a little light relief to these uncertain times with the launch of Yachting’s Got Talent.

What started as a fun way to connect members of the yachting community together, Maeve and Dave Dempsey are asking listeners to post videos to the SuperYacht Radio YouTube channel sharing their many talents – be it singing, reading poetry, photography or even posting old videos you may have saved to your phone doing something you love, they want to see it!

“While the yachting community is very tight, it’s also very global – everyone is very spread out and it can be hard to connect,” explains Maeve. “But we are really only separated by one or two degrees of separation. Everybody knows everybody in some way. That feeling of connection with people all over the world is what we want to bring out as well.”

“We all have a little bit more time, or a little bit of different time, so it’s the perfect time to show off your talents. Even if it’s something like cooking an amazing dish. We’re as broad as we can be on what talent can be.”

Children can also get involved too with a dedicated channel and safe space to share their talents among each other, connecting them to both other kids around the world as well as the global yachting community.

“When you share joy, it raises your sense of wellbeing and I think that’s the most important thing,” concludes Maeve.
