Superyacht Experts at London Conference

Simon Roberts 140 v2

Dominion Marine’s superyacht experts, Chris Allix, Simon Roberts and Ken Griggs, will be attending the first Superyacht Investor conference to be held in in London from 14-15 March.

Simon Roberts, Head of Yachting Services for Dominion Marine, told us: “It is important to attend such events for networking and also to participate in open discussion about the future of the superyacht industry.

We specialise in ownership solutions, VAT, registration, technical services and crew employment, which means we are involved in every aspect of the yacht ownership cycle. All of the topics up for discussion at the conference are relevant to our business.”

Chris Allix
Dominion Marine Corporate Services Limited (DMCS), founded in 1984 by Chris Allix, provides bespoke solutions to superyacht owners, wherever they are based. It is licensed by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority.

Clients have access to a range of complementary services including company incorporation, commercial and pleasure yacht registration, importation into the EU, Maltese and Cyprus leasing, and VAT registration in several EU countries.

Dominion Marine is the only service provider to offer all three of the current main superyacht ownership solutions: Monaco, Malta and Cyprus.

Sole provider of the Monaco ownership solution is Dominion Marine SARL (DMS), incorporated and VAT registered in the Principality of Monaco.

This solution allows clients to sail privately in the EU and operate their yachts in full fiscal compliance with EU Customs and VAT rules. It is ideal for yachts being purchased for private use, commercially registered yachts wishing to go back to private use only, and yachts currently under temporary admission.

Ken Griggs
Ken Griggs, Gérante of DMS, is looking forward to the event: “I spent many years in finance at Ansbacher in London, organising marine loans for superyacht owners, and look forward to seeing some old faces as well as new.

Times have changed and the superyacht industry is being scrutinised from all directions. The EU is determined to harmonise VAT systems across its member states, and the recent changes to VAT rules in France demonstrate this.

I look forward to discussing this vital topic with other delegates and I am sure Chris, Simon and I will have plenty to contribute.”

Superyacht Investor is aimed at those involved in superyacht transactions, bringing together financiers, brokers, shipyards, lawyers, tax specialists, trust companies, registries and other key industry players.
