Spain Remains Open for Yachting Activity

There have been mixed reports in the media creating concern amongst our captains and crew but please be assured that Spain is most definitely OPEN FOR YACHTING!

Despite a recent rise in infection rates, symptomatic patients, hospital admittances and fatalities remain extremely low - yachting activity has not been restricted and international travel is still in line with all other EU countries with currently no quarantine requirements.

Under the “new normality” rules following the Covid-19 situation, recreational navigation is allowed throughout all Spanish waters. There is no restriction on port clearances for EU yachts or non-EU yachts and crew embarkations / disembarkations are permitted for all nationalities.

In the Canary and Balearic Islands yachts are allowed to enter and navigate between islands with crew onboard (from any port) and with guests, although there are some restrictions depending on the guest nationalities.

Refit works under TPA, which allows VAT exemption, are also permitted as long as local health and safety measures are respected. Evolution Yachting can be your trusted agent for guidance through the TPA procedure, and we can also act as the importers for your vessel in any Spanish port with a Customs office.

From the entire Evolution Yachting team we wish you smooth seas, safe sailing and peace of mind.
