Sale of 160m Superyacht Berth by OneOcean Port Vell, Barcelona

A 160m berth was sold in February in OneOcean Port Vell, Europe’s only superyacht marina of its scale, capable of berthing over 150 vessels up to 190 metres.

The marina, located in the heart of Barcelona, has had major transformation work completed at the end of 2014, following a €100 million investment by UK-based Salamanca Group.

Chairman of OneOcean, Martin Bellamy commented, “Our decision to increase berth capacity at OneOcean Port Vell was driven by the escalating demand we have received for secure space in a location that owners enjoy. We believe this berth sale is evidence of the strength of Barcelona as a superyacht destination and the trend towards more superyachts choosing to homeport in the Mediterranean.”

The number of yachts visiting the marina 2016 compared to 2015 showed an 85% increase in the 80m category and 742% rise in yachts over 100m+.
