Following the success of last year's first MYBA Pop-up Superyacht Show in September, Porto Montenegro is pleased to confirm the 2016 edition will run from 2-4 September. Once again the industry will come together, with international brokers, agents and a selection of 20m+ yachts, for three days of yacht inspections, B2B meetings, seminars and networking.

The marina’s 250m LOA berth capacity means there are no restrictions on yacht size and discounts are available for early registration. Yachts over 20m, charter agents and managers, sales brokers and technical yacht managers are eligible to register. MYBA Members, Yachtfolio subscribers, Yachtfolio-listed yachts and MYBA E-Contract subscribers will automatically be accepted.

A total of 29 yachts attended in 2015 including the 50m M/Y Mariu, 46m M/Y Charisma and 45m M/Y Berzinc. Brokers included Burgess, Edmiston, Camper & Nicholsons, Ocean Independence and Northrop & Johnson, and seminars at the 5 star Regent Porto Montenegro covered topical issues such as VAT on charters in the Adriatic and yacht ownership and registration trends inside and out of EU waters.

Montenegro is now regarded as the Med’s newest superyacht hotspot, a destination with outstanding natural beauty, yacht-friendly tax and legislation benefits, and a rapidly expanding yachting infrastructure.

Fiona Maureso, President of MYBA, commented, “With the show timed at the end of the season this is an excellent opportunity for brokers to inspect charter and brokerage yachts in a relaxed yet professional setting, and to discover a destination that is becoming ever more popular with owners and charterers.”

“The MYBA Pop-up Show instantly became the most popular superyacht show in the Adriatic upon its launch in 2015, going far beyond our expectations. We are now looking forward to growing the event yet further in 2016”, commented Billy Cañellas, Marina Business Development Manager of Porto Montenegro.

James Graham-Cloete, Chair of the MYBA Charter Shows Panel, added “The 2015 MYBA Pop-up Superyacht Show proved to be an incredible success with a great number of yachts and attendees. Early indications of interest suggest that 2016 will be even more successful and we are very pleased to continue our support for this wonderful show and destination.”
