Nautech Appoints New Senior Project Manager

Michael Nautech

Nautech Group Shipyards is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Germain to the position of Senior Project Manager. Nautech Group Shipyard has facilities in La Ciotat, Marseille, Toulon, Villefranche and Martinique giving them refit capabilities on both sides of the Atlantic. The appointment of Michael Germain strengthens Nautech's team of dedicated and experienced project managers who work closely with captains and owners to deliver refits on time and within budget.

Michael Germain is a knowledgable engineer with a wide range of experience onboard and in management positions. A graduate of the French Maritime University (ENSM) in Le Havre, he worked as a Chief Engineer for 5 years before being promoted to Chief Officer, during which time he gained experience on tankers, motor yacht and steam vessels.

Previously, Michael's practical knowledge was tested in the role of Technical Manager on a commercial vessel, overseeing daily maintenance as well as repairs whilst liaising with a large crew.

In his last role, Michael managed shipyards in Singapore and China, directing the building of bulk carriers and passenger ships. In this post, Michael combined his management and interpersonal skills with technical expertise to bring the projects to completion in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

At Nautech Group Shipyard, in La Ciotat, Michael joins a team of project managers who work with meticulous attention to fulfill the client's needs and the vessel's requirements. Michael's appointment is a sign of Nautech's continuing growth as it expands its facilities in the Caribbean and looks forward to a busy year in the Mediterranean.
