MYBA Celebrates Continued Collaboration with Marina Port Vell Barcelona

In celebratory mood at the Monaco Yacht Show yesterday, MYBA and Marina Port Vell announced their continued collaboration in staging the annual MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona.

At an intimate gathering in Port Hercule, MYBA renewed its agreement with Marina Port Vell for the next two years of the MYBA Charter Show. The signatories, Raphael Sauleau, AYSAS Chairman and Chair of the MYBA Communications Committee and Ignacio Erroz, General Manager of Marina Port Vell, were joined by colleagues and representatives with key members of the press in attendance.

Looking ahead with optimism, MYBA President, John Wyborn said: "I am delighted that we will be able to hold the MYBA Charter Show in 2022 and as part of those logistics, MYBA is particularly happy to be continuing its collaboration with Marina Port Vell Barcelona as the venue for the coming years of the Show. We will be pulling out all the stops to make the 2022 Show a resounding success."

Echoing this sentiment, Raphael Sauleau commented: “We are delighted to be able to plan and now schedule our return to Barcelona at Marina Port Vell for our charter shows. We certainly missed meeting our members and being able to display all these amazing yachts. 2021 has been an extremely active year on the charter front despite many challenges relating to the pandemic. We are extremely optimistic going forward and foresee busy charter years ahead. We are so looking forward to kicking off the 2022 summer season in Barcelona together with the team at Marina Port Vell."

Speaking on behalf of his excellent team on the ground, Ignacio Erroz, said: "Marina Port Vell is proud and pleased to welcome the MYBA Charter Show to Barcelona once again. The renewal of this agreement demonstrates that Barcelona has consolidated its leading position as a superyacht destination. This agreement coincides with the announcement of the new positioning and investment project of Marina Port Vell that will allow us to specialise even more in superyachts."
