Northrop & Johnson is delighted to announce the sale of Newcastle's 129-foot M/Y SAFIRA by brokers Kevin Merrigan and Wes Sanford, acting on behalf of the seller. SAFIRA was a joint central agency with Burgess.

SAFIRA is a luxury motor yacht disguised as a rugged explorer vessel. This one-of-a-kind, custom-built, “green” adventure yacht features remarkable engineering with unsurpassed sea-handling capabilities and state-of-the-art equipment — she is an environmentally friendly masterpiece.

SAFIRA's naval architecture by Sparkman & Stephens earned her the 2014 Superyacht Award for Naval Architecture. Her reliable Caterpillar power, ice-strengthened steel hull and Schottel Azipod drives ensure she is both safe and economical. She is equipped with zero-speed stabilizers, dynamic positioning and fuel-efficient engines, capable of using biodiesel.

SAFIRA sleeps 10 guests in five elegantly appointed cabins with luxurious, organic bedding and furnishings. All materials onboard are natural, organic, recycled, sustainable, renewable or forest-certified.
