MaritimeMT Announced as Title Sponsor of the 2020 Crew Awards
ACREW is proud to announce MaritimeMT as the title sponsor of the 2020 Crew Awards, an initiative set up to recognise excellence among superyacht crew, voted by peers across the industry.
This year’s event, scheduled for 10th October, will be held at MaritimeMT’s crew training facility at The World Trade Center in Barcelona, the latest addition to it’s flagship in Malta.
“It is my pleasure to work with MaritimeMT as our 2020 Crew Awards Title Sponsor,” said Onno Ebbens, Director & Owner ACREW. “MaritimeMT is known for its commitment to provide high standard training services to the maritime industry and fits very well with our mission to support excellence on board superyachts. A perfect match.”
Founded in May 2010, MaritimeMT crew training centres have received public endorsement by the Head of Registry of Malta flag state and the Maltese Minister of Transport, Ian Borg, recognising the importance of the maritime industry for Malta as a country.
“MaritimeMT is glad to join ACREW on this venture celebrating the hard work and commitment to excellence of superyacht crew around the world,” said Jesmond Mifsud, Chief Pilot - Malta Maritime Pilots and MaritimeMT Board Member. “We are happy to welcome the crew to an evening of recognition and extend an invitation to visit one of our training centres. As an Institute, MaritimeMT strives to push Transport Malta’s Certification framework, to promote international superyacht training and increase standards worldwide.”
The Crew Awards were established to reward those who have demonstrated themselves to be the very best at their job – a personal achievement with industry-wide recognition for excellence. Taking place in Barcelona on 10th of October, the gala event promises to be a night to remember with 300 crew and 200 ACREW business members attending from around the globe.
Nominations close on 11th May so all superyacht professionals are invited to nominate your peers before it is too late!
The theme this year is the Glamorous 50’s - think Grace Kelly, glamorous shapes, voluminous skirts and petite waists!
