Luxury Hospitality Management Reports Significant Growth

Luxury Hospitality Management, known as LH, has reported significant growth across all areas of the company over recent months. As 2017 draws to a close, LH stands strong for the year ahead with a reinforced training team, an extended range of courses and a broader scope of services, all of which have been implemented throughout this year.

These developments form part of LH’s strategic growth and mirrors an increase in market demand for not only 7* luxury hospitality training but also a wider range of course subjects for individual departments and entire crew.

In the last year, the company has appointed 5 new trainers bringing the total to 12. Each of these trainers are experts in their subject matter and are highly experienced in their field. They have been hand-picked by Peter Vogel who is renowned within the superyacht industry, high-end cruise sector, boutique hotels and luxury estates for his unrivalled level of training and his commitment to the professional development of crew and interior operation.

Not only has the number of trainers been increased to support the current and forecasted further rise in the number of students and specialist subjects, but the company’s actual range of training courses has also been extended considerably. Students at the LH Academy, which moved to the Waterland Estate in Amsterdam in 2017, now also have Luxury Housekeeping, Valet Service and Wardrobe Management available to them.

In terms of training, the company reports a far larger demand over the last 12 months which they believe is set to continue throughout 2018. Certain courses such as Mixology and Barista trainings have seen as much as a 50% increase in take up whilst onboard trainings are also up by 25% in comparison to 2016.

LH’s self-managing leadership courses have also been extended in-line with demand to include an edition aimed specifically at Captains and HOD’s and onboard courses in self-managing leadership for entire crew. It is the growth in these areas that has also prompted the development of a broader scope of services, one of these being the addition of products which form a natural fit with the company’s portfolio.

Earlier this year LH was appointed as a key product partner for LaundryBoard, a product developed by YachtCloud BV together with yacht interior crew, which facilitates the monitoring, tracking and handling of onboard laundry. Adding products like LaundryBoard to their scope forms part of LH’s strategic development in being able to offer the crew that they work with the very best tools that the industry has to offer with an aim to enabling better communication, easier management and improved efficiency.

“The growth we have experienced over the last 12 months is certainly reflective of our industry sectors placing a far greater importance on guests and owners receiving 7* experiences. Crew and hospitality staff are looking to ensure they have all the knowledge, skills and experience possible to be able to deliver at thevery highest level continuously, both individually and as part of a team.” Peter Vogel, Co-Founder, LH
