IMCI attends ICOMIA World Marinas Conference

The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference, to be held in Athens from October 25 to 27 this year, will deliver an impressive programme on the theme of “Cross sea challenges for marinas - Setting the scene for collective development and growth”.

The line-up of over 40 prominent speakers hail from countries across the globe and will bring their local expertise to bear on subjects of international significance, linking emerging and traditional markets in the Balkans, Mediterranean and Middle East.

The International Council of Marine Industry Associations and the Greek Marinas Association are pleased to announce that registration is now open.

Ulrich Heinemann (below), CEO of the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI) says: “I am very honoured to be invited to give a presentation with regards to ISO standards developed for yacht harbours at this prestigious conference”.

Additionally, Oscar Siches, IMCI Inspector, renowned marina expert and former Founder Director of the Global Marina Institute in Spain will be a noted Speaker.

He says: “The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference allows current and future marina operators to directly interact with the most experienced experts and fellow marina operators and developers. It is a golden opportunity to be immersed for three days in our fascinating and complicated industry”

More than 400 delegates are expected to take part in this three-day event to network and openly debate with leading representatives from the business, academic and government sectors, both from Greece and abroad. The three-day event will consist of two conference days and a day touring some of the best marinas that Athens has to offer.

The event is specially designed for marina owners, operators, developers, consultants, equipment manufacturers and service providers who are keen to stay up to date with industry developments and be part of the evolution.
