Horizon Yachts makes Propspeed Standard on all New Models

Propspeed, leading innovator of underwater foul-release coatings today announces its latest endorsement, this time received from Horizon Yachts. The luxury yacht manufacturer now applies Propspeed as a standard for all new models and recommends its use to existing owners, as providing outstanding protection against fouling and corrosion of running gear and underwater metals.

“We want our customers to have the best possible ownership experience,” says Joey Lu, Marketing Director, Horizon Yachts. “Propspeed protects underwater metal components saving them time and money in maintenance. We apply Propspeed to all our new builds and recommend continued use to our customers to improve their boating experience.”

“Horizon Yachts is renowned for selecting only the highest quality components for their yachts,” says Chris Baird, CEO, Propspeed. “We are honored that they have selected Propspeed as their coating of choice and are confident that their customers are going to be pleased with the performance of our product line.”

Since its inception in 1987, Horizon has emerged as the leading Asian yacht brand in the luxury yacht market and is known throughout the industry for its sophisticated craftsmanship, superior build techniques, and innovative technology. Horizon Group contributes to one-third of Taiwan’s total yacht exports and has elevated the country as one of the world’s top five luxury megayacht-building nations. Horizon has been honored as “Best Asian Motor Yacht Builder” 13 years in a row, is recognised as one of the Top 10 Global Superyacht Companies by The Superyacht Report and is the first and only member of SYBAss (Superyacht Builders Association) from the Far East.

Propspeed’s ultra-slick topcoat is specially formulated to prevent marine growth from bonding to metal surfaces below the waterline. It is proven to increase boat efficiency, protect against corrosion, reduce drag, save fuel and maintenance costs. It features an exceptionally strong chemical and mechanical bond between the metal substrate, the Etching Primer and the Clear Coat – ensuring that the Propspeed coating actually sticks to running gear, and any other underwater metals, and performs season after season.
