e3 Systems Launches Bandwidth on Demand for Yachts

The sixth edition of the Palma Superyacht Show kicks off on 27 April, getting the season in the Med off to a dazzling start. The sixth edition of the Palma Superyacht Show kicks off on 27 April, getting the season in the Med off to a dazzling start. The Palma show is home territory for Mallorca-based e3 Systems who use this truly international event to launch new products, services and initiatives.

Last year saw e3 introduce Kymeta flat panel antennas to the yachting world and, this year, they are promising a first-of-its-kind bandwidth on demand service.

The delivery of data to yachts has remained virtually unchanged for the past 15 years, unlike the situation on land, where terrestrial broadband has grown continually cheaper and more ubiquitous. It's generally a 'one size fits all' approach, which ties users down to long, inflexible contracts that result in them paying for data they don't always want or use.

For today's sophisticated consumers who are used to getting what they want, when they want it and wherever they happen to be - it's a very outdated approach.

Flexible VSAT on Demand 

Recognising that this isn't a situation their customers are happy with, e3 is all set to change the way data is delivered to yachts. Their flexible new VSAT on demand service has been designed to remove barriers and make things more straightforward, as well as open up markets to many more users.

It's a unique service bringing users a whole range of flexible features, such as no monthly commitments and fast, automatic upgrades. It will make VSAT a cost-effective solution for yachts of all sizes.
