Northrop & Johnson welcomes Charter Specialist Claudia Acevedo to its international team. Claudia will be based in the Fort Lauderdale office. She comes to N&J with more than a decade of experience in the yachting industry.
Claudia began her career in yachting in 2007. While still in college, she started working for Merle Wood & Associates, where she spent seven years learning from highly experienced industry professionals. Claudia then joined International Yachting Collection (IYC), where she worked side by side with the top-selling brokers which enabled her to showcase all her experience and broad knowledge in the different areas of the yachting industry.
In 2016, Claudia joined MarineMax as a Charter Specialist, acting as both retail Charter Broker and Charter Manager. Following the recent unification of both companies, she will continue to support MarineMax in her role as a Charter Specialist, but also work with Northrop & Johnson in the same capacity. Her many years of experience in various sectors of the yachting industry are a great asset to her clientele; allowing her to easily recognize her client’s needs and wants to promptly meet and exceed their demands and expectations.
Claudia has created and fostered important and steadfast relationships within the yachting industry with other professionals as well as with clients throughout her career. She is dedicated to maintaining these relationships to the best of her abilities. She enjoys working to provide creative solutions to challenges that arise and relishes working in a team environment. Her dedication and commitment to her clients and to the company poise her for success at Northrop & Johnson.
Claudia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing & Management from Florida Atlantic University in 2008. Wanting to expand her education, she went back to school to obtain her Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2013.
