Wild Oats XI Owner, Bob Oatley, dies aged 87

Winemaker, resort owner and renowned yachtsman Bob Oatley died on Sunday, aged 87.  The owner of the 100-foot supermaxi Wild Oats XI won line honours in the Sydney-Hobart yacht race for the eighth time in 2014. On Australia Day, 2014, Mr Oatley was appointed an Officer of the order of Australia for services to the Australian wine and tourism industries, and to yacht racing.
