Securewest: Maritime Security Incidents 5-11 August 2019

During the reporting period 5 -11 August 2019, the Securewest Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded three maritime related incidents :

 

6-August-2019 - Attack (Attempted Boarding) - An attempt was made to board an anchored chemical tanker SG PEGASUS 3 nm NW of Tanjung Uban, Indonesia.

7-August-2019 - Robbery - Anchored chemical tanker CELSIUS RIGA was robbed approximately 9nm NNE of the Port of Nacala, Mozambique.

8-August-2019 - General Security Warning - U.S. Maritime Administration released Maritime Advisory 2019-012, Threats to Commercial Vessels by Iran Geographic Area: Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea, and Red Sea.
