Sea Crowd: New Crowdfunding Platform for Marine Projects

Collaboration between three Italian entrepreneurs has led to the launch of Sea Crowd, a new crowfounding platform dedicated entirely to projects relating to the sea. 

The new platform has been online only for a few days and is set to provide a valuable fund raising service for ideas and projects around boating, marine engineering, shipbuilding, yacht brokerage, marine technology innovation, water sports, maritime tourism, fishing and protection of the marine environment.

The platform will cooperate with key institutions including seven universities, advisors, venture capitals companies and industry professionals working in a maritime context or the wider 'Blue Economy'.

The seniour partners at the helm of Sea Crowd are President Augusto Vecchi and co-founders Massimo Terenziani - CEO and Aldo Manna - COO. They will be supported by an expert technical board which includes Professor Giuseppe Casalino who teaches Robotics and Systems Engineering at the University of Genoa, and the engineer Mr. Lavinio Gualdesi who led the Ocean Engineering Branch of NATO's Centre for Undersea Research (Nurc) for 26 years up untill 2008.
