Monaco: 15 New Berths in 2014

MYS 4

While the 23rd Monaco Yacht Show is about to unveil 103 exceptional superyachts in a few days, its organisers already announce 15 additional berths available from 2014.

This development is a strong reply to the expectations of the brokers and shipyards that cope with a buyers‘ market now. The MYS represents the world’s best showcase to unveil the latest builds or a selection of the superlative superyachts available for charter. A real business challenge for the superyacht professionals.

Megayachts of 120-meter length!

In 2014, the Monaco Yacht Show will extend its berth capacities to the entrances of Port Hercules to host four 35-m yachts, four 40-m yachts, one 45-m unit, two yachts of 50 meters, one of 68-m, one of 90-m and two 120-m megayachts ! Next year’s edition will thus unveil a float of 118 superyachts from 25 to 120 metres LOA with an average length at approx. 48.50m. These impressive figures will enhance the reputation of the Monaco Yacht Show in every respect, further stretching its competitive advantage on the worldwide stage.

This project to increase the berth capacities is the very first result of the new partnership signed last June 28 by the three iconic players of Port Hercules: the Monaco Harbors Management Company (S.E.P.M.), the Monaco Yacht Club and the Monaco Yacht Show.
At middle term, this partnership aims at boosting the yachting industry in Monaco relating to the new commission “Monaco, capital of yachting”.
