Mission Accomplished for Antibes Celebrates Yachting

Over 1,500 visitors took part in the new Antibes Celebrates Yachting event which took place at the Bastion St Jaume in Port Vauban Antibes on April 24th and 25th.

It was a truly international gathering with captains, crew members and professionals from the yachting industry coming from Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the United States.

Antibes Celebrates Yachting was designed to create or renew professional contacts, with crew recruitment and training companies joining brokers, marina representatives and manufacturers from all walks of the yachting industry.

In all, fifty four companies participated in the event which was a tremendous turn out for its first year and the fact that the event was organised in the space of two months following cancellation of the annual Antibes Yacht Show.

The 12 seminars which were held throughout the two days dealt with various important topics ranging from yachting regulations, to security, training, and crew.

Brokers who supplied in water vessels ranging from 20 to 47 meters were pleased with the quality of the visits they received on board by buyers and potential charterers.

The two days saw plenty of fun and entertainment including the triggering of a life raft, instructions on how to perform CPR massage, flower arrangements, a large BBQ with live music and plenty of food tasting events.

The Antibes Celebrates Yachting organisers are delighted by the positive turn out and the level of great feedback from participants and visitors alike.
