BWA Yachting partners with The International SeaKeepers Society for the sake of the world's oceans.

BWA Yachting is delighted to announce its formal support for the International Seakeepers Society, a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on the health of the world’s oceans and climate.

Concern for the worsening conditions of the marine environment around the world, and a desire to do all they can to help, prompted Lugano-based BWA Yachting to offer the association their support through a formal partnership. As a result, the company is now official global yacht services partner of The International SeaKeepers Society for 2016/2017.

The International SeaKeepers Society’s mission is to promote oceanographic research, conservation, and education through direct involvement with the world’s yachting community. SeaKeepers enables the yachting community to take full advantage of their unique position to help advance marine science and to raise awareness generally about the issues oceans around the world are facing.

BWA Yachting says the partnership with SeaKeepers will allow them the opportunity to give something back to the oceans they call home, and upon which they make their living.

BWA Yachting chief executive officer, Stefano Tositti, said as a socially responsible company, they were driven to help protect the marine environment.

“We are happy to have become global partners of The International SeaKeepers’ Society. We strongly believe in their values, and we share their mission. We will do our best to contribute to their success with our local connections and our global presence.”

BWA Yachting’s support for the association will be twofold: the first will be through direct sponsorship, and the second will be to set up a worldwide SeaKeepers’ support fund. The fund will benefit from BWA Yachting’s global network that spans over 275 international ports and marinas through BWA owned and operated offices in Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey, Malta, Greece, the Caribbean, and the USA.

The support fund will be coordinated by all BWA agents worldwide, who will do all they can to promote SeaKeepers DISCOVERY Yachts programme to clients by inviting them to make a minimum donation to the association. In return, the clients’ contribution will be recognised by an official certificate from SeaKeepers, acknowledging their support. Proceeds from the support fund will help to further the important work carried out by SeaKeepers in all the world’s oceans.
