The new steel motor trimaran, Baikal 36 SMT, is designed for professional diving centres. It provides safe and comfortable travel with a modern ergonomic design and cost-efficient diesel-power motors. Unlike most other vessels designed for divers the Baikal 36 SMT is also stable on the water.
In order to provide comfortable leisure for divers on the vessel all technical premises and compressors were removed and are located in auxiliary hulls reducing noise from compressors.
At anchor and on short trips the trimaran uses only electric motors, and a battery bank is charged via solar panels, located on the fly bridge roof of the main vessel and hull surface of auxiliary vessels, saving diesel and reducing environmental impact.
The trimaran has 13 comfortable cabins for guests on the main vessel The master’s cabin is located near the steering position and the salon, while cabins for 12 crew members are located in floats. Outside the fly bridge is equipped with sofas, deckchairs, a bar and grill.
A hydraulic platform is installed over the fly bridge for watch keeping to facilitate observation of the surrounding areas.
The diving centre comes complete with state-of-the-art equipment developed by Saratov to track divers, measure submersion levels, distance to the vessel and approximate air reserves. Another important feature.
