A Sustainable Force in the Yachting Industry

Clear Yacht International reflects a forward-thinking approach in the yachting industry. Clear states, "We have rounded out the team and services that Clear Yacht provides, and are one of few firms in the yachting industry that offers a holistic approach to sustainably-driven design and build projects. We are the value-add for owners, shipyards, designers and architects alike, particularly as we enter into an unchartered era of environmental regulations, and appeal to the new, younger generation of yacht owners."

Beilman adds, "Yachts are complex machines that reside within a very dynamic industry.  It takes a unique set of skills and experiences to prepare for yachting's future as we have envisaged, and believe with the three of us now merged into one organization, sharing a common vision and foundation, we make a powerful, solution-oriented team."

The Clear Blue Method: First Integrated Sustainable Yacht Design Program in the Industry

Clear Yacht International, an award winning interior design, technical consultancy and project management firm specializing in sustainability, is proud to announce its launch of the industry's first categorized approach to holistic yacht design called the Clear Blue Method™.  Penned by Ron Beilman, the Clear Blue Method™ was inspired by the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED), and the new Well Building Standard.

"The yachting industry has always proven itself innovative. With the Clear Blue Method™, we are providing the tools necessary to innovate with purpose, and on multiple levels...The ability to control operational costs and aid crew efficiencies at its base through to the highest levels of bespoke luxury founded on sustainable and wellness models with all the clean, cutting-edge, future proof thinking & technologies in between."

Ms. Cerrone adds that "Mega yachts are sheer works of art in design, construction and innovation, especially for technology. The yachting industry is uniquely positioned to attract new investment demands, industry experts, and entrepreneurs in sustainability, and I am excited to bring Clear Yacht's fresh approach and model to the industry at large."

In addition to the Clear Blue Method™, the team has also launched the new Well Building Standard Certification for the yachting industry that fuses best practices in design and construction with evidence-based medical and scientific research to ensure onboard environments support human health and wellbeing.

It is the first of its kind in the yachting industry. Starting immediately, the Clear Blue Method™ and Well assessments and refits will be performed by Clear Yacht, while its 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization, Ports of Cause, will certify yachts meeting the programs' specific criteria, awarding them membership into its "Fleet Blue™" club.

Ports of Cause was founded four years ago by Joyce Clear and is focused on leveraging the power and reach of the yachting industry to inspire, promote and propel sustainable innovation into the world with the ultimate goal of minimizing the impact luxury lifestyles and everyday living have on our oceans.
