The 37th annual St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show is the largest in-water boat show on the Gulf Coast. The show takes place from Thursday, 4 December to Sunday, 7 December at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park along the picturesque St. Petersburg waterfront.

The show will offer four fun-filled days for families, boaters and marine enthusiasts of all ages and will feature an impressive display of powerboats, sailboats, marine electronics and products.

"The St. Pete waterfront is such a vibrant attraction and we are thrilled to be a part of it and continue our 37-year tradition," said Efrem "Skip" Zimbalist III, CEO of Show Management, the company that manages and produces the event. "St. Pete has a real boating and outdoor culture and we enjoy contributing to that and to the future of the waterfront."

The show will present an extensive schedule of educational marine seminars from Sail America and kids fishing clinics presented by non-profit Hook The Future. Participating kids ages 4 to 15 will receive a free rod/reel combo just for attending. At the Author's Corner, attendees can enjoy a selection of marine-related books and opportunities to meet with authors face-to-face. With refreshments and live musical entertainment along the expansive waterfront area, the show is a total experience of everything boating.

On Saturday, 6 December, for the 14th year in a row, the Cruiser's Party, presented by Cruising Outpost Magazine, will take place on the Gosling's & Budweiser Floating Cocktail Lounge inside the show and will feature The Eric Stone Band, dozens of prizes, pizza and refreshments. Guests must be in the show prior to 7pm to attend this event.

"This show is truly fun for the whole family," said Show Management Marketing Director Steve Sheer. "Whether you own a boat or live near the water, the show has something for everyone, with hundreds of boats to see and tents loaded with accessories, electronics, marine gear and all sorts of products for the marine lifestyle. Guests are invited to catch a seminar, meet a famous author, listen to music, have a cold drink and bite to eat, pick up some fishing tips, and for the kids on Saturday and Sunday, there's Captain Don from Hook the Future to educate, entertain and giveaway great prizes."

There is plenty of onsite parking at municipal parking garages surrounding the show grounds and convenient transportation options including the Downtown Looper Trolley, which stops on First Street near the Mahaffey Theater.

The energetic St. Petersburg waterfront offers many attractions for visitors, including the Salvador Dali Museum, which houses the largest collection outside Europe of the works of the renowned artist; family fun including shopping, beaches, parks and watersports; The Pier; and a variety of progressive bars and restaurants.

The St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show is endorsed and sponsored by Sail America, presented by Lincoln and sponsored by Budweiser, Gosling's, Boatquest, Hook the Future, Discover Sailing, Sail Magazine and Power & Motoryacht Magazine.
