Nautilus MLC Seminar in Cagnes-sur Mer 1-2 March

Nautlius MLC outlined v2

Captains and crew in the large yacht sector are invited to attend Nautilus International’s next seminar on the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006 in Cagnes-sur-Mer on 1 & 2 March 2016.

The two-day event is one of the Union’s regular professional development courses, being held jointly on this occasion with one of our strategic yachting partners - D&B Services.

Venue:  Universite Internationale de la Mer

Port du Cros-de-Cagnes,

3 Rue du Capitaine de Frégate Hippolyte Vial,

06800 Cagnes-sur-Mer, France

Phone:04 92 27 09 76

The seminar will address how the MLC has affected issues such as accommodation and employment standards across the yachting world since it came into force in August 2013.  A special section will also be devoted to the upcoming amendments to the convention.

Time: 10:00 – 16:30 each day

All course materials and lunch will be provided on both days but if you have any specific requirements please inform me in advance.

The seminar will be delivered by two Nautilus facilitators, trained by the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

The event is free for Nautilus International members.

Non-members are also welcome to attend but will be charged a fee equivalent to one-year’s Union membership - €330 for Captains/Senior Officers and Crewing Agents, or €220 for deck and interior crew.  Course materials will be provided but accommodation and travel will be at the attendees’ own expense

I look forward to meeting you at the seminar.  If you have any further questions or would like to clarify any information, please contact  dmcgowan@nautilusint.org.
