Greek Yachting Association's Virtual Yacht Show Goes Live

The first virtual charter yacht show worldwide is a Greek initiative and went online on September 30th, 2020, in order to once again highlight the fact that yachting is one of the strongest assets of our country’s tourism industry.

Making its worldwide debut this year, the digital version of the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) powered by the Greek Yachting Association, comes to solidify its ongoing support of yachting and to reinforce its prominence in the international community, especially during this difficult period for all and particularly for the tourism sector. In response to the challenges of our times, the Virtual Charter Yacht Show is presented this year as a strong indication of the need to advance Greek tourism, and a way for the Association to maintain, strengthen and expand its connections within a global network of industry professionals.

After six very successful events, the MEDYS has established itself as the largest charter show worldwide, and one of the finest professional exhibitions of its kind. While circumstances did not allow this year’s event to be held at the welcoming port of Nafplion, its aura and ambience still prevail this time in virtual form, reinforcing the firm bonds between the renowned yachting agencies that are active in the Greek seas and hundreds of brokers from all over the world.

Through the specially designed platform on the event’s website, www.mediterraneanyachtshow.gr, an impressive fleet of motor yachts, sailing yachts and motor sailers “comes alive” on-screen, presenting some of the finest professional crewed yachts available for charter in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean. The Greek Yachting Association’s digital fleet lines up at this online simulation of the port of Nafplion, offering a virtual view to an international audience through video tours, photographic material and information on their connection to Central Agents.

True to its vision for the prevalence of Greek yachting in an especially competitive and demanding international market, the Greek Yachting Association — with the invaluable cooperation of the Municipality of Nafplion — will be hosting the 7th Mediterranean Yacht Show in the port of Nafplion from the 22nd to the 25th of April 2021.
