America’s Cup Partners with BWA Yachting to Welcome Superyachts to Barcelona 2024

The beautiful Mediterranean city of Barcelona has been selected to host the 37th America's Cup in September and October 2024. This cosmopolitan Spanish port will provide the perfect stage for a truly world-class sporting event, bringing the excitement of the America’s Cup to the local community, and national and international visitors alike.

The official Operations Partners for the AC37 Superyacht Program will be BWA Yachting. It will be responsible for managing all the event berth bookings, access to VIP experiences and social calendar.

“As a global organisation, BWA Yachting is a long-term supporter of the America’s Cup and we’re proud to have been chosen, once again, as Official Operations Partners for the Superyacht Program. We look forward to sharing the thrill of this historic race with our clients, friends, and the city of Barcelona,” said BWA Yachting CEO Paschalis Patsiokas.

BWA Yachting played a central role in the Superyacht Program at the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco in 2013 and at the 35th America’s Cup in Bermuda in 2017.

Laura Esteve, Chief Business Development Officer at BWA Yachting, project managed the 35th America’s Cup Superyacht Program. She said: “We are delighted to team up with the America’s Cup once again and look forward to developing and delivering the best AC Superyacht Program yet for Barcelona 2024.”

Barcelona provides excellent racing facilities, team bases, and the technical infrastructure needed to run a successful America’s Cup Race. It was also chosen as the 2024 venue because of its extensive hospitality options and incredible marinas, perfect for welcoming visitors and superyachts.

Antonella Della Pietra, the Managing Partner for BWA Yachting Spain, added: “The America’s Cup Superyacht Program will bring an impressive number of yachts to Barcelona. The owners, guests and crew will be welcomed as part of the America’s Cup family, enjoying privileged viewing positions for the races, premium berthing, and unique VIP experiences. The AC37 promises to be an extremely exciting event and we’re honored to be a part of it.”

America’s Cup Event CEO Grant Dalton said: “Our vision for the AC37 is an entirely inclusive event, with a wide variety of shore-based AC race village activations and viewing options for everyone all the way through to a world class AC37 Superyacht Program where we look forward to working with BWA Yachting in delivering a quality service expected of the America’s Cup and Superyacht owners.
