It is not surprising that Turkey, with more than 8300 km of coastline welcomes hundreds of superyachts every year to explore and enjoy some of the area’s most breathtaking natural beauty and serenity.

Göcek Marina Tips

Our all time favourite.

Due to its location, Göcek is a very popular base for yacht cruising and it is the gateway to the wonderful, unspoilt islands in the gulf. It is renowned for being a more peaceful and laid back village compared to other tourist destinations in the area.

There are 6 marinas in Gocek, we will be looking at the best berths for mooring your superyacht.

Skopea Marina (VHF 72) 36º45’14″N – 28º56’20″E

Skopea is one of the three marinas able to host superyachts up to 70m. The marina is situated at the coastside near Göcek centre in walking distance from all facilities which makes it ideal for provisioning. The first three berths at the main pier are the best spots in the marina.

In Skopea Marina you can find also Club NEN with its unique semi Olympic-size swimming pool. Ideal to swim some laps or to get a nice suntan. So don’t forget to bring your sun lotion.

If you are feeling hungry after spending some relaxing time near the pool, pay a visit to Can Restaurant located next door, which is one of Göcek’s trademarks with its delicious meals in a beautiful setting by the sea.

A good alternative for Skopea Marina is Club Marina, only 5 minutes away from Göcek centre, if you are looking for more privacy and want to enjoy its natural and quiet scenery.

Alternatively there is D-Marin which features berths for vessels up to 75 metres in length and can welcome yachts up to 4500 GRT (permission required in advance). It is the only marina with a blue flag awarded beach with pure white sand and is next to the luxury resort hotel D-Resort.

Bodrum Marina Tips

Another popular holiday destination is Bodrum. Well known for its nightlife as well as for its cultural, natural and architectural treasures. One of it's more famous landmarks is Bodrum’s castle at the entrance to Bodrum bay, a meeting point for the Aegean and the Mediterranean Seas. Once it was a fortress of note but since 1961 it hosts the Museum of Underwater Archaelogy.

4 Palmarina Genel Gorsel 1024x671

Palmarina Bodrum (Yalıkavak) (VHF 72) 37º06’27.69″N – 27º16’58.70″E

Palmarina is without any doubt the best location and our first choice to moor your superyacht. Palmarina has the capacity for 69 superyachts of 40m and over and up to 5500 GRT.

Palmarina offers everything that you could need. They provide accommodation, entertainment, nightlife, restaurants & cafés, spa & fitness centre, aquapark, shopping mall and even a heliport.

If you want to moor your superyacht closer to the centre of Bodrum then Milta Bodrum Marina is another option. It is located at the center of Bodrum and can host superyachts up to 70 meters. Milta Bodrum offers excellent facilities including a shopping centre, restaurants and bars and a unique and welcoming atmosphere.

Marmaris Marina Tip

Set on the south-west side of Turkey’s Turquoise coast, Marmaris is a larger than an average resort so it’s not surprising that it has so much to offer. Not only are you guaranteed sun, sea and a magnificent beach, but also a charming old quarter with an Ottoman castle and a sophisticated marina.

Netsel Marina (VHF 06) 36º51’02″N – 28º16’38″E

Netsel Marina is the most prestigious marina in Marmaris. When you sail into Marmaris bay you can see the 16th century Ottoman castle on your port side still guarding the harbour and on your starboard side the Marina at the foot of the rising hills of green pine. Superyachts under 90 meters can ask for a berth alongside the outside of breakwater B.

The marina offers great natural shelter against bad weather conditions. Next to all the marina facilities there is a shopping center with many well known and prestigious brands and a nice swimming pool.

Kuşadası Marina Tip

Kuşadası means Bird Island and boasts sun drenched beaches and a very rich history with fascinating historical sites such as, the Temple of Artemis, Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary. Because Kuşadası has something to offer everyone, make sure you add it to your list of places to visit.

Setur Kuşadası Marina (VHF 73) 37º52’00″N – 27º15.60’30″E

Setur Kusadasi with a total of 450 berths is the only marina which can host superyachts with a maximum length of  90 meters. If you can make a prior reservation for a berth outside the breakwater, you surely have the best spot. The marina also welcomes superyachts up to 110 meters but only if the draft of your vessel isn’t more than 5 meters.

Kuşadası Marina offers common facilities and if you would like to play some tennis after spending time on board, here you can!

cesme 1024x540

Çesme, a gorgeous peninsula, famous for its endless beaches with beautiful pale sand. Because the wind is almost a constant feature, the climate is mild. Something you can appreciate, especially during the hot months of July and August. This still largely undiscovered and picturesque part of Turkey’s stunning coastline is the perfect place to chill out if you don’t like the crowds.

Çeşme Marina (VHF 72) 38º19.24’N – 26º20.08’E

Cesme marina offers 400 fully serviced berths and can host superyachts up to 60 metres. If your yacht is 40 meters or less the best spot is starboard side of breakwater pier J and up to 60 metres we recommend the port side of breakwater pier J.

Along the promenade of the marina you can find numerous restaurants, bars & cafés to choose from and a diverse range of shops and fashion boutiques.

If you have any suggestions and/or experiences, please feel free to share them with Superyacht Turkey.
