IGY Marinas Launches Exclusive VIP Packages to Complement the Globe’s Biggest Events

As the only global superyacht network of destination marinas, IGY Marinas is accustomed to pioneering innovative new ideas and offerings which are specifically designed with their clients in mind.

Last year saw the launch of its exclusive Trident Collective membership programme for elite yacht owners, and this spring’s Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix heralded the arrival of signature VIP tailored packages, which it plans to roll out alongside leading cultural and sporting events worldwide.

Miami F1 Grand Prix leads the way in VIP packages

The Grand Prix VIP package offered dockage of up to 550ft at IGY Yacht Haven Grande at Island Gardens, helicopter transportation to and from the racetrack, private marina lounge access and a pole position at the Turn 5 Suites overlooking one of the fastest sections of the F1 course. It was a huge hit with influencers, Trident members, clients, captains and crew during race weekend in May, as they witnessed Red Bull’s Max Verstappen drive to victory.

“IGY’s elite F1 Miami Grand Prix offering officially launches our new Events IGY Marinas service, providing unparalleled VIP settings for a wide range of activations, from intimate gatherings and yacht hops to corporate meetings and brand launches, to events on a grand scale,” said IGY CEO Tom Mukamal.

Miami is proving a natural hub for this red carpet, money-can’t-buy style experience. The party capital, often described as “NYC with a beach”, boasts an enviable calendar of high profile events taking place year-round, but Europe is also firmly within the company’s sights for VIP offerings, with each package curated and made entirely bespoke to the occasion.

Further VIP activations to come

The IGY media portfolio will host VIP activations at their properties worldwide, with Art Basel Miami and Cannes Film Festival, which takes place at Palais des Festivals, adjacent to the city’s iconic IGY Vieux-Port de Cannes, also being added to the roster.

“We want to make these special activations a signature offering around high level events in Miami and beyond, specifically for clients and Trident members,” says Romina Bompani, IGY Sponsorship & Event Sales Manager.

“We are exploring opportunities to extend this class of top notch VIP packages to other existing locations and with this in mind, we are looking at similar activations at Art Basel Miami.

“For Art Basel Miami, we will produce a similar programme to the GP which will include private aviation travel, curated experiences and collectors-only days before the opening.

“We will do the same at IGY’s Vieux-Port de Cannes in time for Cannes Film Festival 2024. The port is incredibly close to the Palais des Festivals, and we can offer exclusive access to amenities and curated experiences with a concierge- style approach.

“We will partner with leading brands, using the power of our real estate and our audience reach to offer online and onsite advertising as well as in-person conversations.”

IGY’s property locations are certainly a key factor in the appeal of this style of VIP experience according to Romina, who adds: “Yacht Haven Grande Miami at Island Gardens is the place to be if you are arriving by boat during the Grand Prix. It is the marina in Miami and South Florida, with the same cachet as Port Hercule in Monaco and Vieux-Port in Cannes. We are at the centre of all the yachting action in Miami.”

Guests give their seal of approval

The feedback and reactions from those attending the Grand Prix VIP experience have been beyond expectations.

“The Miami Grand Prix was the first IGY VIP package of its kind and what we gained in terms of exposure and feedback was incredible,” says IGY Sales and Marketing Manager Arianna Haskelson.

“We had influencers there with millions of followers – the combined reach between them was around 80 million. It was a networking and media coverage triumph and we got a lot of content out of it thanks to influencer videos and social media postings. The engagement was huge.

“Our guests loved it and want to come back and do it all again. This was only the second Miami Grand Prix and there are a lot more people talking about it and getting excited for next year’s event. It’s definitely elevating each year and we will also continue to make improvements in our branding and in how we get the message out there.”

IGY leads the way in innovative new client offerings

New VIP packages for 2024 will be unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in September and FLIBS in October and Romina adds that next year, a more creative Miami Grand Prix offering will target yacht owners through brand partnerships and access to high end venues.
