Marina design and operations specialist, D-Marin, has joined the International Council of Marine Industry Associations’ (ICOMIA) Marinas Group.
D-Marin is a Doğuş Group company established to set a new benchmark in marina design and operations, a vibrant and growng sector within the worldwide yachting industry.
Currently managing 10 marinas in the Ionian, Aegean and Adriatic Seas, D-Marin is a seriou splayer in the Eastern Mediterranean, promoting recreational yachting and providing the vital waterfront infrastructure for community access to natural waterways and the development of sustainable businesses to boost the coastal economy and encourage local employment.
D-Marin began its operations in Turkey in 2003 with its first marina, D-Marin Turgutreis. In 2009, D-Marin Didim became the second marina in the network, joined by D-Marin Göcek in 2010.
In 2009, D-Marin expanded to Croatia with D-Marin Mandalina in Šibenik followed by D-Marin Dalmacija in April 2012, now the largest marina in Croatia, and D-Marin Borik.
By 2014, the marina group had also increased its stake in Adriatic Croatia International ACI (Group) to 10.86%.
In December 2012, D-Marin entered into partnerships with Lamda Development and Kiriacoulis Mediterranean Cruises Shipping, adding Flisvos Marina, a world class superyacht marina, and three further marinas in Greece; Gouvia, Lefkas and Zea, increasing D-Marin’ s total capacity to 8,270 berths.
