Howard Pridding Bows Out as British Marine CEO

British Marine have announced today that Howard Pridding will be leaving the company in the summer after completing five and a half years in the role of Chief Executive Officer. Howard, who has worked in a variety of roles at British Marine for over 27 years and was appointed as CEO in October 2012, has taken a decision to seek new opportunities at this time.

British Marine President, David Pougher, comments: “Howard Pridding has been a loyal and respected servant of British Marine and our industry for over two and a half decades and his breadth of skill and knowledge has often been relied upon to support, protect or promote our organisation and its members.

“I have personally witnessed, on so many occasions, his will and tenacity to get the maximum benefit for our industry, our organisation and our members. Howard has regularly illustrated his ability to engage with other interested parties and deliver the British Marine message. He has repeatedly done this efficiently and with the necessary gravitas, enabling British Marine to be observed, heard and respected.

“We sincerely wish him well in all that he chooses to do in the future and are grateful for his support and guidance over many years.”

Howard Pridding stated: “It has been a privilege to work within this great industry for such a long time, but the time is now right for the organisation and myself to look to the future. I feel proud to have been part of the fantastic team at British Marine who do so much to support member companies and to have worked with many great people over the last 27 years. I wish British Marine well and look forward to pursuing new opportunities.”

The British Marine Board have put in place a recruitment process to appoint a successor before Howard departs at the end of June.
