Supplier of premium anchoring systems to superyachts, Muir Windlasses Australia is expanding its reach across the USA.

With the help of existing partner, Imtra Corporation, the Tasmanian headquartered Muir team is increasing its distribution network across the US. Muir produces premium, custom-built anchor winch systems to suit superyachts from 70 to 150 metres, and has been supplying well-known European superyacht builders for many years.

Muir products have been used on big name yachts requiring equipment which will perform to the yachts’ cruising schedules, while matching the onboard aesthetic; a recent notable example is explorer yacht, Yersin - the first La Belle Classe Monaco winner.

Extensive, and ongoing research and development, a newly-installed, 3D ceramic printer for product prototyping and a dedicated design team, enable Muir to quickly react to customisation requests from vessel designers and builders.

Fully class-approved systems are standard projects for the Australian-based business, with Muir priding itself on providing beautiful and robust products which exceed customer’s expectations in engineering functionality and finish quality.

It’s been a year of increasing distribution capacity for the company, which began when Muir took on dedicated Global Sales Manager, Stephen Vincent, to initially concentrate on further developing Asian markets, earlier in the year.

Likewise, within the USA, Muir is pleased to be expanding the role of Imtra Corporation, to now also distribute both their megayacht  and large commercial range, as well as the recreational windlass range they have handled previously. Imtra has been keen to further expand their range of premium large yacht products and the established Muir brand provides an excellent obvious addition.

For further information on the Muir Mega series of anchoring systems visit the Muir stand #709 in the Yachting Tent at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and at stand #09.506 in the Superyacht Pavilion at Amsterdam’s METS.
