New COO at Fifth Ocean Yachts

Ukraine builder Fifth Ocean Yachts has named Andrea Armas as its chief operating officer. Armas is a naval architect with over 17 years’ experience in the industry.

Armas’ professional background spans roles in production, sales and marketing. Previous positions include international sales manager at Bertram Yacht in Miami (US), general manager for Europe, Africa and Middle East for Riviera, and director of sales and marketing for Numarine.

Established in 2010 in the city of Nykolayev, Fifth Ocean Yachts manufacturing facility has a capacity to produce yachts from 20m-150m (65ft-492ft) offering semi and full customization. The company’s signature range is a semi custom production line for three models: a 24-, 28-, and 35.5m yachts.

The first 24m vessel is currently in the final stages of construction. She is an Expedition motor yacht designed by Ginton Naval Architechts.

In addition, Fifth Ocean Yachts has announced that projects for the construction of the 28m and 35.5m are ready for production. The company is also drafting a 41-metre motoryacht, and a 30-metre sailing yacht.
