As part of their mission to clean up public spaces around the world, Silver Swan Recruitment has joined forces with Plastic Patrol and The Green Stewardess to organise a beach clean at Plage du Gravette in Antibes. The Big Beach Clean Up will be taking place on Sunday 29th September following the Monaco Yacht Show.
Previously in July, Silver Swan and Plastic Patrol hit the waterways of East London on paddleboards, collecting waste which had been discarded in the canal around Limehouse. The findings were imported into the Plastic Patrol app which indicates the areas most affected by plastic pollution.
Also taking part in Antibes is The Green Stewardess - an eco-friendly yacht company passionate to assist yachts and crew in reducing single-use plastics and harmful chemicals in their day to day operations.
“At Silver Swan we’re conscious of our own carbon footprint, but also that of the industries which we recruit for,” says Philippa Smith – MD and Founder of Silver Swan Recruitment.
“As we aim to support a different charity each year, it seemed like an obvious choice when we heard about the incredible work that Plastic Patrol is doing. As well as supporting their efforts, we’re able to get involved too, which is why we’ll be in Antibes at the end of September with support from The Green Stewardess, and then doing something similar in the Alps when the ski season comes to a close in April 2020 – keep an eye out for more details!”
Silver Swan is calling upon anyone in Antibes on 29 September to come along and lend a hand with their clean up mission. All necessary equipment will be provided, and all volunteers will receive a token to join Silver Swan for a drink afterwards. The first 30 volunteers will be given a Silver Swan goodie bag and there will be other surprise giveaways during the day.
