The 10th edition of the Riviera Yacht Support Snow Bonanza started with a beautiful, south of France sunrise as participants gathered at departure points in the ports in Cannes, Golfe Juan, Antibes and Monaco.

On 29th March around 100 crew and industry professionals came together for a fun day with colleagues and friends on the slopes of Auron, skiing, snowboarding and soaking up the sun over a three course lunch.

Setting off armed with breakfast and goody bags on the bus, Ulf and Cameron from Riviera Yacht Support welcomed participants and sponsors and set the mood for the day with some ski action footage and a mini bottle of Champagne to toast the Snow Bonanza’s 10th successive year.

Arriving in Auron, the skiers and boarders were quick to kit up and hit the slopes, many in fancy dress, much to the amusement of onlookers. During midday apéritif at La Bergerie, key sponsors were interviewed on camera and again, over lunch on the terrace, they were introduced by the team at Riviera Yacht Support, taking the mic to say a few words.

Refuelled and raring to go, the keen and the brave headed for the slalom course in front of the restaurant – a hillside of racers in fancy dress making some very fast times! With all scores in, the party moved to L'Alpage for the après-ski sponsored again this year by Blue Coast Brewing with their exciting range of quality craft beers.

During après-ski, the stage was set for prize giving with a fantastic range of prizes provided by this year's sponsors, including a chalet holiday, bluetooth headphones and a variety of gift vouchers.

At 5.30pm we headed back to the coast after a truly fantastic day, full of fun and camaraderie among friends new and old. And as the ski season comes to an end and the Med yachting season begins, what a great way to start the year!

We look forward to seeing you next time!
