Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands is celebrating its golden jubilee this year with the opening of a new construction hall with seven major projects to be launched during the year.

The new hall, which will enable Van der Valk to build motoryachts up to 40 metres, and with up to three decks. will be ready for their annual open-house from 23-26 March.

Van der Valk will launch a 23 meter Grey Falcon with a top speed of 32 knots and a semi-custom sister vessel to be delivered next year. Seven new vessels are to be launched in 2017: three flybridge yachts of 18, 23 and 27 meters, two 26 metere raised pilothouse yachts, a 25 meter explorer and the 19 meter BeachClub 600.

One of the highlights in 2016 was the all-aluminium Van der Valk BeachClub line consisting of an engine room in the same area as the swimming platform providing good indoor and outdoor space. This unique concept for midsize motoryachts was developed in cooperation with the designer Cor D. Rover and Ginton Naval Architects.
