PEC Deck Demonstrations to be held at METSTRADE

thumbnail17

Introduced during Monaco Yacht Show by Brookes Bell, the new PEC Deck is wowing the industry with its ability to ‘see through’ teak decks in order to determine any issues - such as corrosion - that lie beneath. This new technology can save thousands of pounds as it means the condition of a deck plate can be determined without having to remove the teak deck, as well as other finished coating, anti-fouling and insulation layers.

This new type of non-destructive testing equipment has had an unprecedented reaction from various corners of the Superyacht Industry, with Patrick Yeoward of Brookes Bell saying: “During the course of Monaco Yacht Show 2019 we had numerous positive reactions and some serious enquiries from all sectors - brokerage, management, refit, shipyards and designers.”

Now, due to exceptional demand, Brookes bell have created some extra one-to-one demonstration slots for exhibitors and visitors to this month’s METSTRADE exhibition.

So what’s all the fuss about?

The PEC Deck technology itself is very complex, but the execution and reporting are very simple. The equipment is portable so scans can be carried out to conveniently fit around a superyacht’s movements, while its portability means Brookes Bell can demonstrate the technology during METS, giving Superyacht owners, shipyards, skippers, management companies and brokers the opportunity to see the equipment in action, find out what it can do and how they can plan scans in for their vessel in 2020.

Anyone wishing for a demonstration should contact Patrick Yeoward as soon as possible to reserve a slot.
