OneOcean Port Vell Gets Ready to Host Two Major Superyacht Shows

The first two major events of the yachting season, The MYBA Charter Show and The Superyacht Show, take place in OneOcean Port Vell in Barcelona in just a few weeks time. Jointly they will attract over 2,000 industry professionals and exhibitors and a spectacular display of superyachts available for charter or sale.

The MYBA Charter Show

Running from 30 April 3 May, the MYBA Charter Show attracts around 60 charter yachts to OneOcean in the heart of Barcelona. Organised by MYBA (The Worldwide Yachting Association), Barcelona plays host for the third consecutive year, having been held for 28 years in the Italian cities of San Remo and Genoa. 

The 2018 MYBA Charter Show consolidated its position as an international exhibition for yachting professionals, attracting over 1,800 participants with 50 charter yachts on display. The show will occupy the docks of Sotamuralla, Deposit, Barceloneta, España and Rellotge which measures over 1km in length with the capacity to accomodate yachts up to 190m in length.

The Superyacht Show, an Exclusive Event Focused on Buyers

Organized by LYBRA (Large Yacht Brokers Association), The Superyacht Show has become an important showcase for both owners and industry professionals providing an elegant and luxurious visitor experience, with privacy and comfort for potential buyers.

The show boasts a lineup of 30 magnificent superyachts including the SY Maltese Falcon (88m), SY Secret (82m) and MY Eminence (78m), alongside exhibits from luxury brands including Aston Martin, Bulgari, Mandarin Oriental, Pommery Champagne, Financial Times and Francesc Macià 10 from Barcelona.

LYBRA is a trade association for superyacht brokerage, bringing together the largest companies across the industry to discuss shared issues and concerns and to promote activities around superyachts and the superyacht life.

Originally built for the 1992 Olympic Games, OneOcean Port Vell is a world-class marina for superyachts located in the heart of Barcelona. A popular home port for large yachts, the marina offers 150 berths for yachts up to 190m in length, with 440m of linear dockage. 

One of few city-centre marinas in the world, visitors can enjoy Barcelona and Catalunya year round, with the beautiful Balearic islands and Costa Brava just a short cruise away, and plenty of winter activities and ski slopes within easy reach.
