With clients ranging from superyachts and sailors to iconic races such as the Whitbread, the Volvo Ocean Race and the America's Cup, Medical Support Offshore provides unrivaled medical support for seafarers around the world.

At MYS from 28 September to 1 October, MSOS will be exhibiting the latest medical kits available as well as new developments in medical support offshore alongside British Marine at stand QS98.

With solid roots in yacht racing over the past 30 years, MSOS has unrivaled experience in delivering medical support under challenging circumstances in some of the most remote areas of the world.

The team at MSOS delivers a hands-on service to clients, including telemedical support provided by UK-based Doctors, a wide range of offshore medical kits and specialist medical training. They also offer advance medical advice to professional and amateur seafarers, whatever the project.

Please visit us during the show and we'll be happy to discuss your requirements or areas of interest.

Volvo Ocean Race

MSOS is honoured to be appointed Medical Advisors for the 2017 edition of the VOR where Mark Turner takes over from Knut Frostad as CEO. MSOS has worked for many years with OC Sports, providing medical support for Ellen MacArthur, Oman Sail and numreous round the world races.

Medical kits are continually evolving, and we use our experience in such projects to analyse and improve performance to cover all eventualities.

America’s Cup

MSOS has also been appointed medical advisors to the America’s Cup Race Management.

The latest edition of AC boats are incredibly fast, which also increases risks, for foiling boatss well as racing yachts, where peak speeds are into the range of motor vehicles. This has led to the adoption of medical response strategies akin to those already used in motor racing. For inshore racing, this includes the deployment of specialist medical teams with trauma kits, out on the water, in coordination with onshore medical facilities in the local area.

America’s Cup Race Management and other inshore race organisers now mandate the wearing of helmets and personal safety equipment, and provide a forum for teams to share safety lessons learnt. Race teams are also working with manufacturers to continually improve specific impact resistant clothing to prevent possible injuries.

Oyster World Rally 2017

Having provided medical support for the previous edition of the Oyster World Rally from 2013-14, MSOS is delighted to be asked to provide medical support for the next edition from 2017-19. It's very rewarding to be involved in this adventure, providing support for race crew and owners venturing to some of the most remote areas on earth.

Bluewater Superyacht Bridge Services

MSOS and Bluewater Books and Charts (based in Fort Lauderdale) are delighted to announce a joint venture to promote Bridge Services. Navigational services and medical support go hand in hand, and both companies are now working together to provide an unrivalled resource for clients.
