Halyard (M&I) Ltd – Stand Number: 11.710

Halyard, worldwide leaders in marine sound and exhaust solutions, will be launching an innovative new thermal insulation product for exhausts at METS 2014.

The Heat Shell is an intuitive product that will rid boat-owners of the need to use bulky thermal insulation jackets on their exhaust systems. Instead Halyard is offering a minimal glass webbing tape or ‘Heat Shell’ that can be applied to the riser section of the exhaust system, providing an air-tight and liquid proof covering that cannot be damaged by external agents.

Offering all the benefits you would expect from thermal insulation such as heat loss prevention, the new product is a vast improvement, outperforming the traditional jackets in both strength and durability. With a high gloss finish, the Heat Shell is also an aesthetic improvement on insulation jackets and takes up much less space in the engine room.

Halyard has been supplying equipment for sailing yachts for over thirty years and today is a key supplier for refit projects, new builds, and quality production names such as Oyster, Discovery, Princess, Halberg Rassy, Sunseeker, Malo, Fairline, Naiad, Gunfleet and many more. Halyard works with sailing yachts from 10m to 75m, on engines and generators from 5kw to 1,000kw, on powerboats from 10m to 30m and superyachts up to 100m, with engines and generators from 5kW to 3,000kW.

Andrew Davies, Halyard Sales & Marketing Director, would be delighted to talk to you about Halyard’s latest Heat Shell product as well as recently completed re-fit projects such as the restoration of a classic 1930s Gentleman’s Launch.
