SATELLITE 2016, 7-10 March

SATELLITE 2016 is a 'must attend' satellite communications event, held from 7-10 March 2016 offering solutions for every end-user of satellite communications. Staged at Gaylord National Convention Center in Maryland, all uses of satellite will be covered including commercial, government, enterprise, broadcast, broadband, scientific research, maritime, academia, data analysis, military, emergency response, telecommunications and civil space.

Visitors will be able to engage with more than 13,000 satellite professionals at networking events such as the Welcome Reception, Satellite Executive of the Year Lunch, and Awards Celebration and Reception.

In addition they will get premiere views of the latest technology from more than 350 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovative products and solutions in the largest exhibit hall devoted to satellite communications.

There will be many top speakers at the event.

Eutelsat America CEO David Bair, Boeing Vice President of Government Space Systems, Dan Hart and ViaSat Senior Vice President of Government Systems Ken Peterman are the latest speakers confirmed for the session, “The Future of Government and Military Space: Next Generation Constellations” on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:45 a.m.

Howard Lukk, Standards Director for the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE) will speak during the session, “The Challenges of UHDTV Standardization” an Ultra-HD standards workshop co-organized with the DVB Project.

The session will take place on Wednesday, March 9 at 2:15 p.m. and includes Rich Chernock, Chairman of the Standards Technology Group for the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) and Ultra HD Forum Chair and President Thierry Fautier.
