Marquip Enters Turkish Market

MarQuip has received an order for the comprehensive engineering of IMO Tier III compliant exhaust systems for one of its leading clients. It has also signed a new agreement with an agent for the Turkish market.

MarQuip has been involved in the new IMO Tier III compliant exhaust system project from the outset. Together with the yard and engine manufacturer, the company is taking care of the design and calculations for a solution which will fulfil all the demands of the yard, the end-user and the classification company.

This contract is expected to result in an order for the delivery of components for multiple yachts in the near future.

“MarQuip is privileged to be a part of this innovative and groundbreaking endeavour which will set new standards in exhaust systems for superyachts,” comments general manager sales Dennis Bravenboer,

“As a leading designer and producer of superyacht (sail and motor) exhaust systems, we are well ahead of the game when it comes to the new IMO emission regulations, which come into force on 1 January 2016.”

Entering the Turkish market

MarQuip has also appointed a new agent for the Turkish market. The partnership with Nemo Marin was officially started in February and the two companies are already discussing exhaust possibilities with a number of yards in Turkey.
