Livewire Connections Launch Radome Side-Hatch Door Kit

Innovators in superyacht communications, Livewire Connections has created the Radome Side-Hatch Door Kit designed to address a known problem when accessing an antenna fitted with an underside swing down hatch door.

This new and unique range is to be used with Cobham Satcom VSAT and TVRO antennas. Each kit mimics the curvature of the different radome diameter sizes available (50” to 75”) and provides a side hatch access option without the need to revert to a custom-built solution.

Included in each kit is a cutting template, surround bezel, door retaining lanyard, side hatch door (with pre-fitted Sea Tel style catches) and comprehensive instructions of how to fit the door, whereby the hatch door installation is an easy task for a skilled composite technician to fit within a few hours.

“Cobham has conducted a review of this product,” comments Livewire Connections Sales Director David Walker. “They recommend this side hatch kit as a resolution to the problem of providing an additional maintenance access point on challenging antenna installations.”

Detailing and finishes are importance and the hatch kits can be ordered pre-coloured to match a specific customer colour requirement by providing the RAL number if required.
