The Crew Academy is happy to announce that it will be once again attending the Antibes Yacht Show from 23rd to 26th April.

With a very successful winter and spring training season behind them, the team at The Crew Academy, along with special guests Mixologist Andy Pearson and Barista Marco Arrigo, will be on hand throughout the four day event to take crew throughout their comprehensive range of courses and bespoke training services with demonstrations and mini tutorials.

As the Mediterranean yachting season gets warmed up for summer, The Crew Academy is looking firmly to the future with a host of unique offers for forward thinking crew. Whether you are looking to improve confidence, knowledge and application with a Yacht Service course (Levels 1, 2 &3) or are eager to move up through the ranks to Purser, signing up at the Antibes Yacht Show comes with 10% discount on all courses from September 2014 onwards.

Bespoke and subject-focused training are major strengths of The Crew Academy and it has built up a portfolio of in-depth and innovative courses in specialist areas. Floristry and plant care; wine knowledge; bartending; barista training; and even an action-packed eight day programme that combines a range of interior training that includes wine, cocktails, cigars, coffee and chocolate.  The reaches of The Crew Academy are constantly expanding thanks to partnerships with the world’s best brands.

Present on the stand at the Antibes Yacht Show (C650, IYCA) will be trainers at The Crew Academy and masters of their respective arts Andy Pearson (mixology) and Marco Arrigo (barista).

Andy Pearson is an award-winning mixologist and drinks expert with decades of experience behind the bars and judging table. Having managed a variety of the world’s finest and most prestigious drinking establishments, as well as joining and ultimately leading a panel of well-known names such as Marco Pierre-White, John Torode and Greg Wallace at the Diageo’s World Class competitions, Andy is now sharing his extensive knowledge and expertise with students on The Crew Academy’s bartending course. He’ll also be demonstrating a bit of his iconic flair at the Antibes Yacht Show so drop by to catch a snippet of how you could be spicing up your drinks menu.

Marco Arrigo has been with Illy Caffe since its inception over two decades ago. Now Head of Quality and pioneering barista training with the University of Espresso, Marco trains over 100 avid baristas a week. Taking the skill of making the perfect cup of coffee beyond the beans and flavour, Marco trains with every environment in mind. Wind and waves? You can still deliver a flawless cup!
