Newport Bucket Regatta 2014

The Newport Shipyard will be the centre of the superyacht racing world from the 21^st to the 24^th August as classic and contemporary sailing yachts will gather once again for the 13^th Newport Bucket Regatta.

In the growing world of superyacht racing, the “Spirit of the Bucket” is unique with a 28-year history. The event, which has been held in Newport since 2001, features three days of racing in the beautiful waters of Narragansett Bay and Rhode Island.

 

The signs of an enjoyable sailing competition and camaraderie will be very much in evidence when the yachts convene at the Newport Shipyard headquarters. The nightly social activity will begin with a welcoming party for participating yachts owners, guests and crew.

The regatta will commence with daily awards being presented to the winners of each class, in addition to awards for first, second and third place. The overall winner of the regatta will receive the Bucket Trophy.
