New Dates Announced for MEDYS 2022

After a lengthy period of uncertainty and what has been less-than-smooth sailing, as far as our industry is concerned, we are finally seeing a glimmer of hope and the possibility of a gradual return to normality. After two long years, the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) is preparing to return to the global yachting calendar, and the Greek Yachting Association (GYA) is delighted to announce the show dates for 2022.

The 7th MEDYS, the world’s largest exhibition of commercial crewed charter yachts, will be held from April 30 to May 4 2022, once again in the picturesque port of Nafplion in Greece.

The MEDYS is an exclusive B2B event that brings together brokers from all corners of the globe, encouraging them to connect and do business in an environment that is second to none. The 2019 edition saw 102 luxury crewed yachts and 450 international brokers from 31 different countries attending. Following this success, all eyes are on the 7th MEDYS which promises to be yet another impressive expression of the flourishing Greek yachting charter market.

The MYBA Charter Show is also making its return in 2022. Scheduled to take place from April 25 to April 28 in Marina Port Vell, Barcelona, the MYBA Charter Show is also a major event on the global yachting calendar. The organisers of both shows were in communication before finalising dates in an effort to make travel arrangements easier for attending brokers.

The 6th Mediterranean Yacht Show took place from 4 - 8 May 2019 at Nafplion and enjoyed great success, bringing together a superb collection of luxury crewed charter yachts and hundreds of international brokers. Organised by the Greek Yachting Association, the show is the largest of its kind, with 102 of the finest yachts registered this year. Over 450 international brokers from 31 countries had the opportunity to inspect the excellent facilities of each yacht on display over the five-day period and to experience the elevated level of services offered by the welcoming captains and crews.

Yachting tourism attracts an increasing number of visitors to Greece and MEDYS is the perfect occasion to highlight the region as one of the top yachting destinations globally. The show owes its success to the large number of registered yachts, the great turn-out of industry professionals from all corners of the globe and the contribution of the local CAs. It is organized each year by GYA under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism and with the kind support of the Municipality of Nafplion as well as the Region of the Peloponnese.
