4th Edition of “By Tourist on the Sea”

By Tourist on the Sea’s 2016 calendar of events begins from 6-8 May on the Amalfi coast. Now in its fourth edition, the program created by Luisa del Sorbo promotes and highlights what the Campania region has to offer to superyachts cruising in the area.

In addition to experiencing the cultural and gastronomical excellence of this region, By Tourist’s events gives a first hand look at everything the area offers the superyacht industry, including B2B and networking opportunities with leading companies operating in the sector including: Luise Group, Palumbo Shipyard, Bulgari, Italian Yacht Masters, Le Agavi di Positano, Quattro Passi in Nerano, Palazzo Petrucci in Naples, the President of Pompeii, La Caravella of Amalfi, Da Paolino in Capri, Marina Molo Luise, Pastificio Leonessa and Plaghia Charter. In addition, a team of experts from the culinary world and five star hospitality will showcase the opportunities available for yacht owners and guests.

It is an exceptional opportunity for us to network with international yacht charter brokers and other leading companies in the sector to identify synergies to ultimately join forces to promote the territory together.”

This exclusive event, which is not open to the public, will welcome fourteen international charter brokers who will be able to experience first hand, the opportunities that can be organized for owners and guests. In addition, six journalists from the USA, UK and Europe will be present. Welcoming them on the 6th of May will be the two star Michelin chef Antonio Mellino from the famed Quattro Passi restaurant in Nerano with an exclusive dinner. The five star hotel Le Agavi di Positano will host the group where also on May 7th, leading luxury companies will also be able to
meet the attendees.

Various touristic ports will be visited including Lacco Ameno, Yachting Santa Margherita in Procida and Marina Molo Luise in Naples to name a few. The visit will continue with a cruise on the gullet Silver Star towards Capri where attendees will have the opportunity to visit some of the most prestigious boutiques in the area, including Bulgari, followed by a lunch at Paolino in the midst of the citrus groves overlooking the gulf. Towards the evening the group will cruise towards Amalfi, the antique maritime republic, for a private visit to an art gallery curated by Antonio Dipino of the restaurant La Caravella. The event concludes on the 8th of May with a cruise through the protected area of Punta Campanella and a visit to the Medieval Castel of Castellamare of Stabia. Following lunch at Palazzo Petrucci in Naples will be visits to Marina Molo Luise at Mergellina, the Palumbo Shipyard and a private event “Bulgari & Champagne” at the brand’s flagship location with Michelin star chef Paolo Gramaglia from the eatery President.

They will have the opportunity to receive specialized training along with seminars that will explain new fiscal and cruising regulations throughout Italy and in particular in the Campania region. In addition to these specialized courses they will also find some time to see and experience the best the area has to offer for their owners and guests.”
