Reduced VOC Awlcraft® 2000 Range Launches

Same easy-to-apply, repairable premium finish but now 420g/lt

Houston, Texas USA - AkzoNobel’s Awlgrip® business announces the launch of a new converter and reducers range for their premium repairable Awlcraft® 2000 topcoat system which results in a mixed VOC of just 420g/lt (3.5 lb/gal) when used with any of the Awlcraft 2000 bases.

Utilizing the latest in solvent technology and after extensive testing worldwide, the new converter and three new reducers have been launched to the North American market and comply with all current federal and state legislation for high gloss topcoats. Boatyards and applicators can now enjoy the benefits of the world-renowned Awlcraft 2000 range whilst being comfortable in the knowledge that all VOC laws are being complied with.
As the change only applies to the solvent in the system the attributes of the topcoat system remain unchanged from that of the existing system; the same easy-to-apply formulation, fast-drying, repairable and with flow and gloss second to none. Longevity remains as good as ever as the dried film remains unaltered from the present formulation.
